I recently stumbled upon a few really neat "hacks" for Windows Vista. They are UI (user interface) hacks that tweak a few of Windows Vista's already great looking os, to an even better one.
My favorites are their 3duser picture: You can download this package here: http://mpj.tomaatnet.nl/Ave3dUserPic.zip It may be hard to see what it does from this picture, but it essentially takes your user picture, and slowly wobbles it in a 3d motion back and forth. It looks really cool. The other "hack" that i really like from this site is their taskbar thumbnail resizer application. Basically when you hover over an item in the windows taskbar, by default it gives you a tiny thumbnail above the item of what it it looks like running. However, by default it is really small, mostly unuseable. This program lets you resize the thumbnail size to whatever you like.
You can download this package here: http://mpj.tomaatnet.nl/AveThumbnailSizer.zip There are more programs available too. All of these are available thanks to Ave's Vista Stuff. HOWEVER, since these are 3rd party applications, pctipguys is not responsible for any damages they cause. While we tested them, there is always a possiblity on different hardware they may not work proper.
Thanks for reading, and hope you like these programs!
