First, this is the most important step, we need to make sure that we are browsing the device itself, not the media on our computer. To do this, at the top of the Zune software select device, then music.

Next, all one needs to do is find the song, artist, album, etc in their Zune and right click and dell it to delete it.

This method is what I use becuase I have my Zune set to manually sync the music I choose. However, if you have it set to automatically sync you media, then you can just right click on the item and choose never sync with the Zune, and then upon next sync it should remove it.
